Abbeal is an international IT consulting firm (France, Japan, Canada). Join Abbeal's Tokyo team to build and operate critical backend platforms for Japanese FinTech clients — high-scale, reliability-focused systems in a modern Go and cloud-native stack.

Context

You will join Abbeal's engineering team in Tokyo, embedded on backend platforms for FinTech clients. Expect high-ownership work on distributed services, strong reliability requirements, and a modern cloud-native toolchain. English-speaking environment; Japanese is not required.

Your Mission

• Design, build, and operate backend services in Go
• Own reliability, scalability, and observability of distributed systems
• Model data and manage PostgreSQL at scale (schema design, migrations, performance)
• Run workloads on Kubernetes; manage infrastructure as code with Pulumi
• Collaborate with international teams and client stakeholders

Profile

• 5+ years (ideally 8–12) in backend engineering, strong in Go (or a systems language with fast ramp to Go)
• Solid experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native operations
• PostgreSQL expertise and distributed systems fundamentals
• Infrastructure as code (Pulumi / Terraform)
• Fluent English; Japanese a plus but not required

Location and Setup

Tokyo — hybrid. Permanent (seishain) role with Abbeal. Hired and supported by Abbeal (visa sponsorship + Mobbeal expat support). Indicative range ¥9M–¥16M/year depending on experience; final package based on profile.
