Money Forward X is a virtual company organization that provides services of BtoBtoC / BtoBtoB for financial institutions and business companies, and is the predecessor of the Fintech Business Promotion Department launched in 2017. In order to realize Money Forward's vision of "Becoming the financial platform for all", we are currently working on providing money solutions for local users.

By combining the trust and data assets of financial institutions that have supported Japan for many years with Money Forward's technology, we will create a more convenient and money-free future.

 

Our product

We are creating "Mikatano Series" a group of softwares which provides various services for business companies. We support our customers (companies) and business partners to take the first step in digitizing their business operation and have more in-site into business and finance.

By providing "Mikatano Series", we are helping small and medium-sized enterprises to utilize the power of technology to digitalize the business needs. We provide services such as financial management, invoice management, workflow management, etc. that help businesses to realize DX objective and make work more enjoyable.

 

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Associate Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic and innovative engineering team. As an Associate Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 8-12 members, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage and lead a team of 8-12 engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth.
• Develop and maintain a high-performing and motivated engineering team.
• Establish and communicate clear team goals, expectations, and deliverables.
• Maintain a ratio of 7:3 between team and technical management, ensuring a balance between leadership and hands-on technical contributions.
• Utilize technical expertise to contribute to project development and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical initiatives and projects to successful completion.
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of engineering projects by managing resources, timelines, and priorities.
• Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals.

 

Required Skill-set

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience managing engineering teams, with a focus on team sizes ranging from 8-12 members.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience in software engineering.
• Strong background and hands-on experience in software development, system architecture, and design.
• Proficiency in working with AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies and tools.
  Self-motivated and eager to learn and stay updated with new technologies.

 

Good to have Skill-set

• Conversational level in Japanese.
