Description
Summary
We are looking for a QA Engineer / SDET to strengthen the quality of our energy management applications and related software products.
This role will cover both QA ownership and technical test automation. You will be responsible for designing test plans, creating test cases, executing E2E and regression testing, and improving QA processes, while also building automated test pipelines, simulation tools, and data-driven testing environments.
The ideal candidate is not only a manual QA engineer, and not only a backend engineer. We are looking for someone who can bridge product quality, test automation, and software engineering.
Target Products
- PowerOS / Power Bidder
- Web applications
- Mobile applications
- APIs and backend services
- Energy Management, Battery Management, Charger Management, and Asset Management related services
Job Scope
- Develop test plans, design detailed test cases, execute tests, report bugs, and manage testing progress for web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and backend services
- Perform E2E testing, regression testing, API testing, and other relevant testing activities to ensure stable and high-quality software releases
- Implement, operate, and improve automated testing for web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and backend services
- Build and maintain testing pipelines and simulation tools that can replay real-world site logs against applications, enabling realistic, data-driven testing
- Develop and improve automated test workflows, including opportunities to explore AI agents or LLMs for test execution and evaluation report generation
- Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to integrate QA activities into the agile development process
- Investigate production issues, reproduce bugs, analyze bottlenecks, and collaborate with development teams to support bug fixes and quality improvements
- Propose and implement improvements to testing processes, release quality, bug tracking, test reporting, and development workflows
About Engineering and Research Division
Our Engineering and Research Division consists of mainly three teams that handle end-to-end development of hardware and software systems for energy storage and power transfer solutions and services. Currently, approximately 50 specialists are engaged in the mission of advancing energy storage technologies and solutions.
The division is organized into the following teams:
- Series Development: Responsible for prototyping, testing and validation, requirements engineering, series handover of new products, product support, and commissioning.
- Advanced Engineering: Responsible for development and experimentation into emerging technologies to support our current and future roadmap of energy solutions. Key areas include embedded development, PCB design, model-based development, battery management, power conversion, digital twins, edge computing, cloud solutions, and AI/ML-based dispatch optimization, generation, and forecasting.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manages product and project lifecycles across quality gates through development, sourcing, value engineering, manufacturing, after-sales activities, and cross-functional coordination.
Working alongside talented engineers from around the world, you will have the opportunity to thrive in a diverse environment that values autonomy and empowers individuals to make meaningful contributions while gaining new skills and experiences in emerging technologies directly applied to our solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or software engineer involved in testing and quality improvement
- Experience designing test plans, creating test cases, executing E2E testing, regression testing, and API testing
- Experience implementing, operating, or improving test automation for web applications, mobile applications, APIs, or backend services
- Basic software development skills in one or more programming languages such as Kotlin, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Swift, or other JVM / Node-based languages
- Understanding of agile development processes and experience working closely with software development teams
- Experience with bug reporting, issue tracking, root cause investigation, and release quality management
- Fundamental computer science knowledge, including algorithms, data structures, networks, and software architecture
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
