The context
We support a listed Japanese industrial group operating critical assets internationally. Security is being rebuilt as a real function, driven directly by the CIO. The cybersecurity team is around ten people spread across the group, on a heterogeneous multi-country IS with a large IT and OT surface.
The role
- Coordinate and lead the global cybersecurity team (around ten people)
- Work directly with the CIO as her right hand on everything security
- Stay hands-on: security operations, vulnerability management, pentests and remediation
- Secure cloud, identities and endpoints (IAM, EDR, monitoring)
- Own IT / OT governance and risk, through to audits
- Travel regularly to the group's sites abroad
What we are looking for
- Currently based in Japan with valid work authorization, no relocation or visa sponsorship from overseas for this role
- You have coordinated or managed a security team, ideally across several countries
- You are still hands-on: security engineering, cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), IAM, EDR / SOC
- Governance and risk: ISO 27001 or equivalent; industrial or OT exposure is a plus
- Fluent English. Daily professional Japanese is a significant advantage
- Comfortable with frequent international travel
