Overview

We are seeking highly experienced platform engineers who are responsible for improving the deployment and delivery of applications and services for our products. We hope to enhance the value of our collaboration software with the new product and allow our customers to experience better teamwork.

To achieve very high availability and conform to various regulations, we use multiple regions of Google Cloud to host the products. Among other technologies, we heavily use Google's managed Kubernetes and load balancers.

As a senior platform engineer, you will work with our software development teams to design and implement a highly automated and continuous integration and delivery system for their deliverables. You will also be responsible for monitoring the service, responding to their incidents, and managing costs on cloud resources.

Position Description

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Design and implement automated and continuous integration and delivery systems for our product with good documents and tests.
Review other engineers' designs and code.
Collaborate with other engineers, product designers, and architects
Create processes to monitor and respond to incidents
Monitor and manage costs on cloud resources
Analyze and reduce security risks in our systems and practices

Expected Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

5+ years of experience working in development roles in software engineering
Hands-on experience in writing software in Go
Hands-on and professional experience using Kubernetes
Hands-on and professional experience using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Knowledge and experience in building multi-stage, multi-regional, multi-environment (dev/staging/production) CI/CD pipelines with the GitOps and Infrastructure as a code.
Effective communication and proficient writing in English.

Additional Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience with Google Cloud services, including Cloud Spanner and Cloud Load Balancing
Experience with Istio and gRPC
Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC
Understanding of modern web application architecture such as microservices.
Basic understanding of regional regulations such as GDPR or CCPA
Very good command of Japanese

Core collaboration time: Tue-Fri 9am-11am

Salary Range

9,000,000 - 11,000,000 JPY （※1）
Estimated annual salary: Base Salary (12 months) + Bonus (Base salary x 1 month x twice a year = 2 months)
Monthly salary system: Base salary is determined based on your skill set, experience, and abilities, etc.
An allowance for additional overtime（※2）is included in the base salary.
- However, work exceeding additional overtime agreed to between the employer and employee will be compensated separately.
Base monthly salary（※1）: JPY 640,000 – JPY 790,000
The base monthly salary breakdown is as follows:
- Base salary: JPY 487,600 – JPY 601,900
- Allowance for additional overtime（※2）: JPY 152,400 to JPY 188,100

※Notes:
　　1. Depending on your skill set and experience, the amount set may be outside the above range.
　　2. Calculated based on 160 hours of scheduled working hours per month and 40 hours of additional overtime.
