About Us

Autify, Inc. is a San Francisco-based startup founded by the first Japanese team to graduate from Alchemist Accelerator. Our mission is to empower creativity through technology. Since 2019, we have grown to a team of 100+ members, providing AI-powered no-code test automation for Web and Mobile. Our latest focus is Genesis, a GenAI agent for software quality assurance.

About This Role: Quality Assurance (QA) Professional

As Autify scales, we are moving beyond basic automation to define the "ideal QA" for the modern era. We are looking for a professional who can bridge the gap between rapid development cycles and high-quality software, establishing Autify as an industry leader in automated quality assurance.

Responsibilities

Quality Ownership: Drive and own the quality output for the team and its products.
Test Lifecycle: Design test cases, validate acceptance criteria, and manage manual and automated tests across multiple products.
Process Improvement: Propose and formulate bug prevention systems and QA processes that don't slow down development.
Metrics & Analysis: Track test gaps, quality, and productivity metrics; use data to drive cross-team improvements.
Strategic Alignment: Use the product internally to identify gaps and drive product initiatives with business and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of QA experience in Agile software development.
GenAI Strategy: Experience designing and executing a GenAI test strategy, including prompt evaluation and model behavior validation.
Automation: Proficiency in frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Playwright.
CI/CD: Hands-on experience with tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
Communication: Ability to work fluently in English (global team) and collaborate effectively with development engineers.

Japanese Language Policy
Autify doesn’t require Japanese skills for engineers. All oral and written communications (including slack and all documentation) is in English, so there’s no need for engineers to speak Japanese.
Visa Sponsorship
Autify’s flexible when it comes to helping you get a visa. They’re willing to hire people currently living overseas and sponsor your visa (as long as you fulfill the Japanese visa eligibility requirements). Autify also allows working from abroad while waiting for your visa to be approved.

They’re even open to having people continue to work remotely from outside of Japan longer-term as long as you can be available during normal business hours in the JST time zone.

Remote Work
Autify is working 100% remotely currently, so they don’t require members to live in Tokyo, if you are able to relocate to Japan. They also have quarterly in-person meetings in Tokyo but it’s not mandatory to commute to Tokyo once every three months. You can also join remotely.

Note: We welcome remote work from other countries as long as you can work during the JST time zone. Those living outside of Japan will remotely join quarterly in-person meetings.
Work style
Work hours: Full flex time (No Core Time!)

Autify allows their members to choose their own hours as long as they average 8 hours a day each month. There may be times when you’re expected to join meetings and you may need to be online during the JST time zone, but otherwise work hours are flexible.
