Job Purpose

Autify currently has more than 300 existing customers, and the number of various technical inquiries is increasing. However, in order to further grow the product and expand the engineering organization, we are looking for an additional technical support engineer who can specialize in responding to technical inquiries and investigating problems that occur in specific environments. The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for understanding product functions and technologies used across the board, responding to technical inquiries from customers, and investigating problems that occur in specific environments. 


Responsibilities

  • Research and respond to technical inquiries from users and customer success teams.
  • Investigate issues specific to a particular environment (website, browser, etc.)
  • Develop features and improve stability based on the results of the above inquiries and investigations.


Required Qualifications

  • Being able to work in Japan standard time (Working partially in JST can be discussed)
  • Over 3 years of frontend development experience using frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular
  • Modern development experience with Agile or Scrum
  • Non-native Japanese speakers: Business level Japanese (both spoken and written)
  • Non-native English speakers: English language skills at a level that allows for daily conversation and reading of documents


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in backend development using modern frameworks
  • Experience in a role that requires communication with customers
  • Experience in technical support for software products
  • Experience in modern development with Agile and Scrum
  • Experience with E2E test automation using Selenium and Appium
  • ISTQB/JSTQB certification


Desired Personality Traits

  • A passion for troubleshooting
  • A broad understanding of various technology stacks
  • Good at determining the cause of problems from execution logs and error information
