We are seeking a QA Lead to join our Incubation team to help shape our engineering organization as we move into a new stage of global growth.
About the Incubation Team
The Incubation team functions as an independent startup within CADDi. We focus on creating new applications on top of our core platform, CADDi Drawer, which manages archives of engineering drawings and supply-chain data. Our goal is to launch products that solve customer problems, build strong teams, and create structured ways to accelerate development.
Expected Role & Responsibilities
As a QA Lead Engineer, you will go beyond process improvement to address the strategic importance of quality. You will define quality standards based on product vision and foster trust with our customers.
- Strategy: Defining desired quality based on product vision, business strategy, and organizational status.
- System Building: Building a QA framework and system, including training and hiring QA members.
- Planning: Formulating test strategies and leading test planning, design, and execution.
- Collaboration: Reviewing product specifications and proposing improvements from a quality perspective.
- Automation: Promoting both automated and manual testing across the software delivery life cycle (SDLC).
Requirements
- Expertise: Proven experience leading QA activities and implementing processes in accordance with standards like ISTQB, ISO 29119, and general QA methodologies.
- Language: Fluent business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or equivalent, or ~3 years experience in a Japanese-speaking environment).
- Leadership: Strong technical expertise and the ability to lead QA strategy in an Agile environment.

- Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js
- Backend: Rust (axum), TypeScript, Node.js
- Infrastructure: Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Istio, Terraform
- DevOps/Data: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Datadog, BigQuery, dbt
- API: GraphQL, gRPC, REST
Working Environment & Salary
- Salary: Estimated 9 million to 12 million yen (Stock option program available).
- Location: Tokyo (Relocation support available).
- Workplace: Hybrid (Recommendation to visit the office once a week; quarterly in-person kickoffs).
- Hours: Flextime (Core time 11:00–16:00).
