Senior DevOps Engineer

Cogent Labs is looking for a mid-to-senior DevOps / Infrastructure professional to help automate, test, secure, and deploy services powered by AI algorithms. 

• Creating and maintaining Dev, QA, and Production environments in the cloud (IaC)
• Monitoring the health and optimizing the costs of Production and QA environments
• Maintaining, improving, and documenting BCP and disaster recovery procedures
• Automating and improving installation and monitoring of On-premises systems
• Developing and improving CI/CD systems and automation for internal development
• Contributing to backend code (features, development tools, etc.)
• Working in cooperation with other team members, including our machine learning teams to improve developer workflows and tooling

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD and testing pipelines
• Experience automating and maintaining production cloud infrastructure (IaC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, with an emphasis on high availability, BCP, and security practices.
• Strong experience with containerized applications (Docker, containerd) and kubernetes
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPC, public/private subnets, Security Groups, ACL)
• Understanding of Linux/unix systems and proficiency in basic scripting / diagnostics
• Proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript) or Python application code
• Good communication skills in order to understand requirements from end users, technical team members or senior management. 

• Japanese language ability.
• On-premises/offline installation experience/knowledge
• Advanced security experience/knowledge
