Software Engineer - Frontend

Cogent Labs is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer with 4+ years of relevant experience to create our next generation frontend using React JS and other technologies. Successful candidates will join a highly skilled team, and should be able to define, clarify, develop, test, and deploy high-quality front-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new UI/UX features and front-end architecture in cooperation with senior team members.

• Write clean, scalable, readable and testable code, and deploy to production often.

• Participate in code reviews, making use of best practices and accepted standards.

• Find bottlenecks and constantly improve performance of UI/UX.

• Communicate effectively inside and outside the team.

Required Skills

• Excellent skills in JavaScript (ReactJS ecosystem), HTML, CSS for front-end development.

• ​​Experience with creating pages from a design shared on tools like Figma, Photoshop etc

• Experience with Unit and Integration test frameworks and automation (e.g. Jest, Cypress)

• Knowledge of front-end security concerns(e.g. authentication, authorization, Role-Based Access Control)

Preferred Skills

• Japanese language ability.
