About the Datachain initiative

Datachain announced a project to build a global payment solutions infrastructure on 5 September 2024!
Since its inception in 2018, Datachain has been continuing R&D on technology and business opportunities with the aim of creating a ‘De-Facto infrastructure’ as a Global x Deep Tech company from Japan.

We aim to become a Decacorn (a start-up with an enterprise value of more than USD 10 billion), and we are often told that we need to win in Global x Deep Tech to realize this goal.

As a major first step, the announced project will start, but we have a limited amount of time to get off to a flying start with a big advantage in this area, where the world's top companies will be our competitors. 

As the first penguin, we are currently rapidly expanding our recruitment in order to create a ‘De-Facto infrastructure’ as a Global x Deep Tech company from Japan.

Why Datachain can achieve this

• We will develop an international remittance infrastructure using stable coins in collaboration with a communication network for financial transactions linking more than 11,000 institutions in more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, which are also used by major Japanese banks for overseas remittances.
• In June 2023, Japan will be the first developed country to enact legislation on blockchain stablecoins, so that Japan leads the world in this area.
• The technology Datachain has been researching and developing - blockchain-to-blockchain transmission technology - is leading the world.

Attractiveness of the position

The back-end web application engineer will need to set up a new system and team to drive a new major project.
High technical skills are required to achieve the specific high quality required for finance.

In terms of implementation, in addition to regular web applications, each person will implement applications on the blockchain and realize an organization, culture, and structure to achieve development that continues to operate!

Requirements

• Experience in understanding the value of the function to be implemented and proposing major changes to the implementation
• Experience in implementing based on official documents and literature in English and other languages
• Experience in sharing technical knowledge through pair-programming, mob-programming, walkthroughs, etc.
• Experience in developing an environment to ensure the internal quality of the system
• Experience with statically typed languages (Go, C/C++, Java, Rust, Scala, etc.) and implementation that captures the characteristics of each language
• Basic knowledge of algorithms, data structures, networks, security, design patterns, etc.
• Interest in blockchain technology

Preferred Experiences

• Experience in organizing the necessary elements for system development into Design Docs and ADRs
• Experience in implementing development infrastructure, defining development rules, review process, repository strategy, etc. for new startups
• Experience in product development in the FinTech domain
• Experience in promoting technology publicity/adoption activities in the engineering domain
• Ability to conduct implementation based on English literature
• Experience in blockchain related development
