Solution Architect

Gran Manibus, a technology-led business consulting firm under Sumitomo Corporation and SCSK Corporation, is looking for a software engineering expert to bring modern technology to reinvent business which spans various industries. At Gran Manibus, we are trying to evolve business consulting services to be more technology driven, and will provide modern consulting experience which will deliver greater impact to our client’s business.

As a consultant who has expertise in software engineering (Solution Architect), you will play a pivotal role in delivering various consultative services and implementation of modern software products. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-end, one-of-a-kind consulting services for bringing modern software engineering approach which would directly impact to client’s business success. You will work closely with client’s business stakeholders and technology team, and the role would vary from building software to building technology strategy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guide technical direction, and ensure that the architecture adheres to best practices for scalability, reliability, and efficiency. You will be primarily responsible for:

• Engineering Thought Leadership:
  • Lead various transformation programs to bring modern engineering approach.
  • Work with client’s leadership team and engineering team to build strategy of software delivery and organizational transformation.
• Software Building:
  • Deliver best in class engineering software engineering capability which will be a reference to other software engineers (in both clients and the team) to follow.
• Architectural Design:
  • Lead the end-to-end architectural design of complex systems, incorporating modern technologies.
  • Evaluate and analyze existing system architecture, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that the architecture meets scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
• Technology Expertise:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies (such as cloud services, data platforms, and mobile frameworks).
  • Provide strategic guidance on technology selection and integration.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT professionals, engineers, and stakeholders to develop and integrate computer systems.
  • Foster collaboration across teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Proof of Concept (POC):
  • Design and conduct POCs to validate architectural decisions and explore innovative solutions.

In addition, the role is expected to support pre-sales through working with client leadership and account team.

 

What You Will Bring

As a Solution Architect, you bring expertise in designing architecture and lead technology implementation through working with engineering team and business stakeholders. You have fluent experience in agile and DevOps, building modern products which leverage the most up to date technologies.

You are expected to have skills and experience such as product planning and management, and agile delivery management. An ideal candidate would have:

• More than 7+ years as a Software Engineer and/or Solution Architect in product engineering organization with client facing experience.
• Ability to translate business outcomes to technology requirements.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience delivering projects related to AI, developer platforms, or data platforms.
• Excellent communication skills. Inspire and lead people toward the goal. Create and harvest culture to embrace success or failure to build a better tomorrow.
• Business level Japanese (N2) and business level English.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
• Self-directed and take ownership.
