Description

Due to the expansion of our government and defense-related systems business, we are recruiting core personnel to handle the upstream processes from requirements definition to basic design.

As a startup specializing in satellite data analysis and AI, we are working on system projects for government agencies, primarily in the areas of defense, public safety, and disaster prevention.

While our implementation system, centered around AI engineers, is a strength, it is crucial for future business expansion to create high-quality requirements definition and design documents required by government procurement, and to establish design standards and review systems within the organization.

We are looking for someone who finds enjoyment in the process of creating requirements definition and design documents.

Implementation will be handled by our in-house engineers. The person who joins us will be a core member of the upstream process, supporting the quality of projects and leading the development of our design standards and design culture.

[Main Responsibilities]

  • Leading requirements definition and basic design for government system projects
  • Creating and managing design documents that meet government procurement standards
  • This includes handling documents totaling up to 1,000 pages depending on the project, such as requirements definition documents, basic design documents, test plans, and delivery materials.
  • Participation in technical reviews and specification adjustments with government agencies that are the clients.
  • Review of design documents created by in-house engineers.
  • Development and deployment of design standards, document templates, and review systems.
  • Support for the creation of technical proposals and project plans for bidding projects.
  • Project management and training of junior staff according to the project situation.

In the future, we envision careers in project PM and member training, as well as careers where you continue to pursue design and document quality as a specialist in upstream processes without moving into management.

Requirements

  • Practical experience as a senior SE/IT architect in an SIer or similar environment.
  • We expect at least 5 years of experience, but we value the content of your work more than the number of years of experience.
  • Experience leading the process from requirements definition to basic design for systems for government agencies or large corporations.
  • Experience proactively creating and completing design documents of several hundred pages, such as requirements definition documents and basic design documents.
  • Knowledge and experience to design the entire system from a holistic perspective, including network, infrastructure, and hardware configuration.
  • A strong awareness of the quality of design documents.
  • This includes formatting, consistency of content, and traceability between requirements and design.

Preferred Experiences

  • Experience working on system projects related to the Ministry of Defense and the Self-Defense Forces.
  • This assumes an understanding of procurement special clauses, government-specific specifications and document culture, and inspection procedures.
  • Experience handling security procedures in government projects.
  • This includes access control, worker registration, and working in designated environments.
  • Experience designing systems including network equipment and radio/communication equipment.
  • Experience creating technical proposals and handling bids for government projects.
  • Experience working on system projects utilizing AI and machine learning.
  • Specialized knowledge of AI and machine learning is not required. You will work in collaboration with our in-house specialist engineers.

We are looking for:

  • Someone who finds joy in the moment requirements are finalized
  • Someone who can complete a 1,000-page deliverable document as a work of art, not as a chore
  • Someone who enjoys the significant impact their work has on a small team
  • Someone who can approach the unique document culture and procedures of government agencies as a challenge to overcome, rather than becoming frustrated
