Job description

We are looking for experienced Android engineers who can contribute to feature development and maintenance of Android applications, which consist of a variety of features that are crucial for providing a user-friendly asset management experience to our customers.
As a member of an international team of highly motivated individuals, you will be working closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend, frontend, and mobile application engineers to deliver growth to our products.

Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend, frontend, and mobile application engineers to develop new features
Brainstorm together with mobile application engineers to discover challenges to solve
Maintain and improve existing products

Required requirements

Technical Skills / Experiences

3+ years of experience developing production-grade Android applications
Experience coding in Kotlin and Java
Experience building applications using the MVVM pattern
Familiar with RxJava or LiveData
Strong desire to fine-tune performance, UI design, and animations to improve user experience
Motivation to stay up-to-date with new technology trends and find ways to solve issues and requirements

Soft Skills

English communication skills (90% of engineers are non-Japanese. We are a very international team)
Organizational skills
Motivation for team development
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience publishing Android applications to Google Play

Preferable requirements

Experience in the financial / prop-tech industry
Experience in cross-platform mobile application development
Experience coding in JavaScript or TypeScript
Interest in GraphQL and API development using the BFF pattern
Japanese communication skills. (Not mandatory)

Evaluation: twice a year
Probation time: 3 months (conditions do not change during the probation time)
The annual salary includes 35 hours of overtime work

Japanese Language Policy
English and Japanese are both official languages at WealthPark.

Japanese is still the main language spoken, but we've built an environment where anyone can thrive as long as they've got the skills required.
We're actively working on improving their English support to help accomplish this.

For engineering in particular, 90% of our team members are non-Japanese, so there's no need to know Japanese (the engineering team speaks primarily English).

We have a lively environment where Japanese, English, Mandarin, Cantonese and other languages are spoken :)

Remote Work
WealthPark requires their members to come to Japan if they are living abroad. There is no designated in-office day, but full remote work is not possible, and it is necessary to live within a commuting area from the office.
