Part of the UK-based Octopus Energy Group, Kraken Technologies is driving the global green energy revolution through transformational Energy-Tech. We invented, designed and built Kraken to ensure that we had the most innovative, data-centric and customer-focused technology to support our top-class customer service. Kraken Technologies now delivers transformational Energy-Tech to businesses around the world to make the global transition to green energy quicker and more affordable.

We’re now licensing Kraken Technology to businesses globally. You can read about our partnership with E.ON as an example to see how Kraken is evolving our business. You can learn more about how the migration works in practice here. Our aim is to have 100 million customers on the Kraken Platform by the year 2030. We also recently secured over £500 million of investment from Origin, Australia's largest Energy Company. Our group includes Octopus Energy, Octopus for Business, Kraken Technology, Octopus Electric Vehicles and Octopus Energy Services as well as our new net zero Centre - Octopus Centre for Net Zero.

Now with recently announced investment worth ca. ¥20 billion from Tokyo Gas, Octopus Energy will be entering Japan market to help us continue our mission. We are looking to recruit start-up members of our Japanese operations to build more tech to make energy in Japan greener and increase our investment in service and growth in Japan and Globally. Japanese Language Policy
A good professional knowledge of the Japanese language is important for communication with local partners in Japan.

Paid Leave
Kraken Technologies offers unlimited paid time off. Technically their contract stipulates 25 days of PTO, but in practice they don't have a limit on the number of vacation days members can take.

Of course, members must coordinate with their teams when taking leave to ensure it doesn't impact projects, but beyond that their policy is flexible.

They also have a culture of allowing people to take several weeks of vacation at a time if desired.
