Technical Program Manager

Zaiko is seeking a Japanese-speaking Technical Program Manager (TPM) with experience working directly with Japanese companies and representing Japanese organizations. This role requires a dynamic professional to collaborate across product, engineering, and sales teams to define integration requirements and ensure smooth onboarding for corporate partners. Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted liaison between Zaiko and Japanese corporate partners, representing Zaiko’s brand with professionalism.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams to define, document, and manage integration requirements for Japanese partners.
• Drive localization and customization efforts to meet the technical and functional needs of the Japanese market.
• Develop and manage program timelines, milestones, and deliverables for partner integrations.
• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate discussions between internal and external teams.
• Monitor integration progress, resolve technical or logistical challenges, and ensure a seamless experience for partners.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams to optimize platform features and user experience for the Japanese market.

 

Required Experience

• Language Proficiency: N1+ Japanese and business-level English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience working directly with Japanese companies, especially in a client-facing or partnership role.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with APIs, system architecture, and software development lifecycles.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
• Collaboration: Demonstrated experience in cross-functional roles, working across product, engineering, and sales teams.
• Understanding of Japanese business etiquette and corporate practice.

 

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with e-commerce or entertainment platforms.
• Knowledge of localization practices and standards for the Japanese market.
• Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub.
• Proficiency in additional languages, such as Korean or Chinese.

 

Position Details

• Type: Full-time, permanent position.
• Hours: Flexible, with core hours between 11:00 and 16:00.
• Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo (remote options negotiable).
