Spacely conducts all Slack communication and meetings in Japanese, so having a business-level proficiency (around JLPT N2) is a plus for a smoother work flow.

However, more than 30% of our engineers are non-Japanese and many Japanese team members also understand English, so communication in English is possible when needed. In fact, conversations between non-Japanese members are often held in English.
