Your day to day

As a full stack Engineer at Creattura, you will be pair-programming with colleagues as well as working independently to build and refactor software products end to end. Using Test-Driven Development, evolutionary architecture, and CI/CD among other methodologies, you will help our team to build, deploy, run, and improve production software daily.

Together with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers you will work in an autonomous, cross-disciplinary product team in order to solve problems together. In a team, you will reflect regularly on how to continuously improve team collaboration and the product you are building.

Mentoring with empathy and kindness, you will help other engineers understand the ins and outs & pros and cons of principles, practices and patterns applied in modern software development.

On your first day, you should have

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English, some Japanese is a plus.
• Experience building and maintaining production code as a software engineer using automated testing, and continuous integration
• Experience with or desire to learn Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Solid understanding of computer science topics such as security, networking, data
• Structures & algorithms either through a computer science degree or equivalent experience

Not required, but bonus points if you have

• Understanding of common approaches to build and architect web applications end to end, e.g. REST / GraphQL APIs, Single Page Applications (SPA), Modular Monoliths, Microservices, etc.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases 
• Experience leading a product or development team

Who we are

Creattura is a climate startup founded in Tokyo in 2022. We use finance and technology to develop innovative solutions to climate change. We are currently building a data platform for monitoring, tracing, and verifying the climate impact of sustainable rice agriculture.
