Job Description

Join us for a unique six-week onsite tech internship* with HENNGE this Spring 2023, that will offer you both personal and professional development opportunities. You will work alongside our experienced Cloud Product Development engineers with a dedicated mentor while experiencing working in a Japanese company that prides itself on cultivating an internationally diverse culture. In the HENNGE Global Internship Program, you will acquire practical application development skills using Python and Go. This program will give you hands-on experience using state-of-the-art cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform to develop applications. Japanese ability is not required as English is our primary language. More details about the technology stack for this internship program here


*All interns are required to join our internship program in our headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan for 6 weeks.


INTERNSHIP DURATION

6 weeks (from 10 AM until 7 PM from Monday to Friday) 


AVAILABLE BATCHES

Batch 2 

March 13 - April 21, 2023 

10AM - 7PM (JST), 6 Weeks.

*Working hours will be 10:00 - 19:00 JST; please make sure that there will be no conflict in schedules with your studies or other activities.


INTERNSHIP FLOW

  • Week 1 & 2 - Full-stack Training 
  • Week 3 & 4 - DevOps Training 
  • Week 5 & 6 - Special Project

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential: 

  • At least third-year students or fresh graduates with BS, MS or PhD in Computer Sciences or related field 
  • Knowledge of Unix / Linux environments 
  • Programming experience in any language 
  • Fluency in English (Japanese not required) 
  • Willing to participate in the internship at our headquarters in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan 


Preferred: 

  • Interested in pursuing a career in Japan 
  • Interested in Cloud Computing 
  • Proficiency with Python or Go 
  • Knowledge of distributed systems 
  • Experience in Full-stack Web Application development

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS

● All candidates considered including international students.

● All entrants to Japan are required to provide either a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate (3 doses) OR a certificate of negative result taken within 72 hours prior to departing from the original country/region. Those who are unable to present a valid vaccination certificate or a valid negative test will not be allowed to enter Japan, as based on Quarantine Law. Batch 2: March 13 - April 21, 2023 (6 weeks) 

We will be accepting applications to be in the 2023 Spring batch from November 24, 00:00 (JST). 

● There is no time limit for the challenge, and solving time will not be considered in the screening process. The application process must be completed by December 26, 2022 to be considered for the internship program. Please note that applicants who submit their challenge after the deadline may not be eligible for the aforementioned batch.

Our team will review applications on a rolling basis and so it is in your best interest to apply early. Applications will be closed after the slots have been filled. Solving time will not be considered during the screening process.
