About the Job

This role is in the Customer Success team, responsible for guiding client companies through onboarding and continued use of Japan Dev to hire foreign engineers.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, positive, and committed to sincerely supporting both the client side (companies hiring tech talent in Japan) and the user side (engineers looking for jobs).

You will work closely with our bilingual team, including our founder and CEO Eric, a former Mercari Engineering Manager from the US, and other team members.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct online sales meetings via Google Meet (introducing our service, explaining features, gathering client feedback, etc.)
  • Handle client support via email and Google Meet
  • Plan and support networking events

 

👩‍💼 Who are our clients?

Our clients are tech companies hiring foreign engineers and expanding their global operations.

About 50% communicate in Japanese, and 50% in English.

You will often interact with HR professionals responsible for hiring global talent.

※ Client support is handled by a native English-speaking bilingual team member, so you will collaborate with her rather than handling everything alone.

 

Requirements

Must-Have Experience & Skills

✅ Fluent English
✅ Business Level Japanese (~JLPT N2 level or above)
1+ year of experience in recruiting, career advising, HR, sales, or customer success (or experience as a community manager in the tech industry)
✅ Based in Japan, ideally in the Tokyo metropolitan area (but this is not a requirement)
✅ Authorized to work in Japan
Stable high-speed internet for online meetings
Comfortable using online tools like Notion, Slack, and Google Meet

Nice-to-Have Experience & Skills

➕ Experience in IT or HR industries (recruiting, staffing, job platforms, etc.)
➕ Management experience
➕ Knowledge of software engineering
➕ Study abroad or overseas work experience

💼 Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Style: Fully remote (Collaboration via Slack & Google Meet)

Working Hours: JST 10:00–19:00 (1-hour lunch break, 8-hour workday)

If preferred, you can start with reduced hours as a contractor before transitioning to full-time! 😊
