About the position
In this role, you’ll work in a small cross-functional team - collaborating closely with designers and product managers - to discover new experiences for researchers. You’ll be responsible for the architecture and design of complex distributed systems, helping shape the future of research together with the team.
Responsibilities
- Design and build systems from the perspective of a single service and platform.
- Design and implement scalable software.
- Rapidly build products based on hypotheses and drive value validation from an engineering standpoint.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to ensure continuous service operation.
- Proactively ensure best practices in testing, observability, architecture, clean code, and documentation.
- Develop features utilizing LLMs (Large Language Models).
Requirements
- Ability to lead the architecture design and implementation of the entire service.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong knowledge of fundamental computer science concepts.
- Experience developing and operating large-scale web applications with a focus on UX.
- Capability to build high-quality software, with proficiency in supporting web applications and libraries.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation when required by the team.
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience in product development utilizing LLMs and Prompt Engineering.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Rust, C/C++, TypeScript.
- Experience building multi-service platforms and OSS (Open Source Software) development.
- Deep understanding of the challenges within the research-related domain.
- Experience with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience in developing mobile applications and deep knowledge of LLMs.
