A Quick Overview of What This Role Entails
As we continue to grow, scalability is crucial for deploying our products faster and more efficiently. At the center of this effort is our new Cloud Team, formed in November last year to lead this important mission.
The Cloud team's mission is to lead Mujin’s global expansion by developing a cloud-based platform that connects and centralizes our edge-computed controllers across factories and warehouses. This platform will provide integrators and users with a user-friendly GUI, enabling them to monitor production remotely. It also simplifies deploying the latest robotic technology on a large scale, making advanced automation more accessible and efficient.
As the system is still in its early stages, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to contribute to its design and development from the ground up.
The cloud team’s goals
Let's create a modern cloud service with us by focusing on high availability (HA), automation, and productivity enhancements. Your work will not only improve the team’s efficiency but also have a direct connection to Mujin’s business success.
- Build a platform for monitoring and managing the Mujin products at scale
- Build a platform for simulating and testing environments automated with the Mujin products
Responsibilities
- Help design scalable and highly available [HA] architectures
- Implement and maintain configurations, services and tools for cloud infrastructure orchestration and provisioning
- Setup monitoring and observability for the cloud infrastructure and services running in the cloud
- Monitor the cloud infrastructure and identify/address performance bottlenecks and/or any other issues related to cloud systems and services running in the cloud
- Analyze cloud resource usage and optimize cost
- Implement security measures to protect data stored and applications running in the cloud
- Implement CI pipelines for orchestration and provisioning automation
- Work closely with the team to implement cloud native services/APIs
Minimum Requirements
- Experience with infrastructure as code [IaC] for orchestration and provisioning automation
- Experience with containers/containerization
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (understand the basic concepts such as workloads, services, load balancing, networking, storage, security, etc.)
- Experience working with Linux (Debian, Alpine)
- Experience building scalable, multi-regional/distributed architectures for big data
- A good testing ethic
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with various cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with search/analytics engines (Elasticsearch)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Vector/Fluentbit, etc.)
- Experience working with CI platforms (e.g. GitLab CI)
