About the position
This is a permanent position. This position requires N3 or higher level of Japanese language skills. This position is open ONLY to people already in Japan.

We are looking for Server Side Engineer with the following competencies
As a Server Side development engineer for the "menu" app, you will be specifically involved in the following tasks.
App development for users, delivery staff, and stores
Front-end development tailored to various functions of the service
System design according to new functions of the service
Implementation of behaviour according to the action of the application
Development of cooperation function by external service and API -Development of a library to implement the required native functionality
Research and implementation to optimise app performance
What do you bring to the table aka Must-have requirements?
Ability to work in an international, but primarily fully immersed Japanese language environment is required. JLPT N3 or higher is preferred. You speak Japanese to converse effectively with internal and external parties
API development / operation experience using server-side framework
Design / development capability considering performance and scalability
Abundant knowledge about application development, network, database, cache
Application design ability considering maintainability and reusability
Communication ability to carry out service development in collaboration with engineers, PMs, designers, planners, and QA
Team development using github / Slack / task management system
Experience developing server-side applications with PHP
Development / operation experience in public cloud using AWS / GCP
Experience in developing services using location information
Experience of transition from monolithic to microservices
Development experience of original recommendation function
Team development experience in Agile / Scrum
Experience of publishing and contributing OSS projects
Knowledge about service platform / development experience / operation experience
Experience as an engineer manager, project manager or team leader
