We are hiring an experienced Mobile Application Developer to lead the development of a B2C mobile application supporting students' club activities in universities across Japan.

What You Will Do

Build & Ship: Build, ship, and maintain cross-platform mobile features for iOS and Android using React Native.
End-to-End Ownership: Own features from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, release, and monitoring.
Architectural Integrity: Implement clean, testable architecture and maintain high code quality through rigorous reviews and documentation.
Data & APIs: Integrate with GraphQL APIs and handle data persistence, offline caching, deep links, and background tasks.
Quality Assurance: Write automated tests (unit, integration, UI) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Platform Support: Support App Store and Google Play submissions, manage release notes, and rollout strategies.

What We Can Expect from You

Mobile Expertise: Professional experience building and shipping production mobile apps with React Native.
Technical Mastery: Expert understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern CSS (ideally Tailwind).
Integration Skills: Strong experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, and mobile data persistence (e.g., SQLite, Realm).
DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with release tooling and app store processes (App Store Connect, Google Play Console, Firebase, GitHub Actions).
Security Mindset: Knowledge of secure storage and mobile security practices (OWASP MASVS).
Language: Fluency in either English or Japanese, with at least conversational proficiency in the other.

Bonus Points

Meaningful experience with functional backend languages like Elixir or Ruby on Rails.
Experience with AWS Services, Firebase, and Postgres database development.

Compensation: ¥8.0 - 12.0 million/year (negotiable based on experience).
