About Us

At THECOO, we're leveraging cutting-edge technology to build Fanicon, an innovative and interactive fan community platform. Launched in December 2017, Fanicon is a subscription-based, premium fan community platform where fans can engage directly with their favorite artists and personalities (“icons”), who are directly involved in content design and creation. Fanicon has experienced continuous growth since its launch.  As of December 2024, Fanicon hosts over 3,500 communities and over 350,000 fans.

At THECOO, we foster a culture where engineers can fully focus on building great products. As we scale Fanicon from 10 to 100, we’re seeking someone who can leverage their expertise to help us take the platform to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the front-end development of Fanicon, working closely with our product and design teams. Fanicon has moved beyond the initial 0 → 1 phase and is now entering a growth phase (10 → 100), where we aim to expand the platform and enhance the user experience for a wider range of creators—talents, artists, and influencers.
  • Drive improvements across the front-end architecture and development process
  • Implement user-friendly UI and enhance UX for a better fan experience
  • Develop and maintain Vue.js-based applications with modern front-end technologies
  • Improve our build environment using tools like webpack, SWC, or esbuild
  • Lead and mentor team members
  • (Optional) Expand your expertise beyond front-end and contribute to back-end development

If you’re a front-end engineer eager to broaden your full-stack capabilities, we’d love to hear from you!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates should meet all of the following criteria:
    • Experience developing web applications using a modern SPA framework (e.g., React, Vue) and TypeScript
    • Strong ability to identify and implement architectural improvements in existing systems
    • Experience in developing and operating an in-house product
    • Valid work visa for Japan (all nationalities welcome)
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on high-growth products (scaling from 10 to 100)
  • Experience migrating from Vue 2 to Vue 3
  • Expertise in front-end build tools such as webpack, SWC, or esbuild
  • Participation in re-architecture projects

Bonus Points!

  • Passionate about technology and engineering
  • Continuously learning and staying updated on the latest trends
  • Able to engage in constructive discussions and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Interested in the entertainment industry and designing engaging experiences for artists and fans
  • Strong product-first mindset

Language Requirements

  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese or English
