Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, action-oriented Lead Designer to drive the creative vision and execution of our design strategy. This pivotal role is perfect for a bilingual (native-level Japanese and English) professional who excels in both leadership and hands-on design work. You will own our design pattern library—encompassing both customer-facing (B2C) interfaces and administrative (B2B) tools—and lead initiatives that push the boundaries of rapid, code-based prototyping and user-centered design.
Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership:
- Lead and mentor design initiatives across the company, setting high standards for UI/UX across all platforms.
- Take full ownership of the design pattern library, ensuring consistency and innovation in both consumer and administrative interfaces.

Hands-On Prototyping & Innovation:
- Champion a code-first prototyping approach by developing interactive prototypes using actual code alongside traditional design tools (e.g., Figma).
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to rapidly iterate on design solutions and incorporate emerging technologies such as AI to enhance prototyping speed and efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including product, engineering, and marketing—to translate business goals into exceptional user experiences.
- Lead user and prototype testing sessions to gather actionable insights and iterate on designs based on real-world feedback.

Strategic Problem Solving:
- Identify design challenges and opportunities, taking initiative to propose innovative solutions that drive user engagement and satisfaction.
- Own large-scale design projects from conception through delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
- Extensive experience in UI/UX design with a proven track record in a senior or lead design role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and drive design strategy for both B2C and B2B products.

Technical Proficiency:
- Strong hands-on skills in prototyping, including proficiency with code-based prototyping methods.
- Advanced knowledge of Figma or equivalent design tools.

Bilingual Skills:
- Native-level fluency in Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities in both languages.

Mindset & Approach:
- Highly action-oriented with a passion for taking initiative and solving complex design challenges independently.
- A proactive, innovative thinker who thrives in a rapidly evolving, experimental environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the events, ticketing, or entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with the latest AI/LLM technologies and their applications in design and prototyping.
- Prior exposure to international markets, particularly in East Asia (e.g., Hong Kong, China, Taiwan).
- A portfolio demonstrating successful leadership on both customer-facing and administrative design projects.
