Satellite Capture Operations Coordinator

About the Role

At Axelspace, our mission is to make "Space within your reach." As a Satellite Capture Operations Coordinator in the AxelGlobe Division, you will play a key role in making this vision a reality. You will work closely with the business team, remote sensing specialists, and satellite operations engineers to coordinate the capture of satellite imagery that empowers governments, companies, and individuals with timely and actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities

• Technical Feasibility Coordination. Coordinates with satellite operations engineers for the technical feasibility of capture requests given a set of client requirements
• Capture Request and Schedule Coordination. Management and adjustment of capture request and schedule, taking into account capture delivery requirements. Interfaces with the business team, remote sensing specialists, and data engineering team to determine if additional captures are needed for contract delivery. 
• Technical documentation. Development and maintenance of operational workflow documentation

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in project management, engineering operations, or related fields. A degree in engineering, geospatial sciences, computer science, or a related technical discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in defining project objectives, gathering client requirements, and ensuring timely delivery of outputs aligned with client needs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, technical specialists, and engineers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with a focus on clarity and precision.
• Highly disciplined and reliable, with a commitment to delivering results on time. Proactive in identifying and reporting deviations or challenges during project execution

Favorable Skills/Experiences

• Familiarity with data analysis and automation tools such as Python, R, or similar programming languages. Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and SQL tools such as Redash is preferred.
• Understanding of satellite operations or remote sensing technologies is an advantage. Prior experience in the space industry or familiarity with satellite operations processes is a strong plus.
