Job Overview:

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and leading data-related projects with Scala, Java and JDK to build a strong data solution globally. Working closely with the engineering and marketing team, you will be an integral part of our data team as the G123 platform grows its portfolio of games and expands globally. Main responsibilities include:

  • Developing & maintaining data pipelines written with Spark and Flink
  • Leading projects and propose innovative solutions
  • Consider coding standards and ensure compliance with quality measures
  • Communicate and resolve problems within and outside your team


Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with production level development
  • Proficiency in: Scala, Java, JDK
  • Experience in Spark
  • Experience in MVC frameworks e.g. Spring Boot
  • Experience in middlewares e.g. Apache kafka, Redis
  • Experience in DevOps activities
  • Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment
  • Familiarity with AWS, Gitlhub, CICD
  • Self-motivated
  • Good communication, teamwork, inter-team collaboration
  • Be an active player in system architecture and design discussions
  • Adaptable to fast-paced startup environment


Language Requirements

  • Can work in Chinese OR Japanese OR English
  • Can read and understand technical documents in English

Compensation

Your compensation will be determined based on your experience as well as the whole interview process. Our salary range is as follows:

  • Level 1: 6-9M JPY
  • Level 2: 8-12M JPY
  • Level 3: 10-33M JPY

The first level is for individual contributors (junior positions), while the last level is for senior and management positions.
