 About the Role
As a Technical Project Leader in Drivemode, you will work with one of the top technical teams in
Tokyo to ensure the success of car technology projects which will be rolled out globally. Projects
are technical so you’ll need to be able to both understand the technology as well as be able to
flex your project management muscles to coordinate the team and stakeholders. The
technology is typically focused on new software which will modernize the user experience for
cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles.

ロジェクトマネジメントの実施やデリバリープロセスのリードします。技術を理解するだけで
なく、組織のプロセス・仕組み・仕掛けづくりや、チームのプロジェクトマネジメントスキル
が必要となります。技術面では、すべてのユーザーに最先端のドライブ経験を与えるソフトウ
ェア開発が中心となります
 
What You Will be doing
● Lead consulting-style project engagements to improve the design and implementation of
large telematics systems, with emphasis on the improvement of user-facing mobile
applications that interact with the systems.
● Lead the Project as Consultant with engineers, designers, clients, and vendors to clarify
requirements.
● Ensure the team is aligned and all stakeholder expectations are managed.
● Help design elegant, cost-effective solutions to complex problems
● Assist in the implementation of modern development practices
● Lead the growth of Drivemode’s product advisory team

We look for

  • Someone who thinks that cars, motorcycles, and other types of transportation can be
  • 1000x better than they are today.
  • Exceptional communication skills and can communicate fluently in Japanese.
  • Someone who is able to adapt communication style depending on the audience
  • Experience with mobile software and backend systems.
  • Experience working on large and complex projects from inception to delivery.
  • Experience with a cloud computing provider (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle, etc…)

  • 6+ years of software consulting and/or project management experience.
  • Business-level English
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • You are able to persuade others without direct authority over them.
  • You are very organized. You have a driving need to share clear, well-structured
  • information.
  • You have a desire to get things done quickly and to ship a product often.
  • You have a flexible attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Experienced or familiar with Agile methodologies. Agile or PMP certification is a plus.
