DevOps Engineer (VisionWiz)

Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that handles large volumes of media data. Additionally, you will work with the team to help develop the pipelines to manage the lifecycle of this data while applying the best security practices.

What We're Looking For

You are looking to challenge yourself by joining a small team and will be comfortable becoming the security expert that the rest of the team can rely upon. You are able to manage our infrastructure by code and deploy the tools that the team can use to be confident to make new feature releases. In your downtime, you would be eager to pick up new skills and participate in developing our product alongside the rest of the team.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2-3 years of DevOps/ SRE experience
• Experience with DevOps such as CI/CD, virtualization and/or container, orchestration, deployment automation, configuration management monitoring, metrics systems, testing, etc.
• Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS or GCP)
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solution architectures
• Experience in working closely together with development, product and business teams
• Knowledge of web application security and best practices
• Scripting skills in at least python, perl, bash, shell or another language
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools (e.g Chef, Packer, Terraform, etc.)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with working at a startup
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Software programming experience in a programming language (e.g Java, C/C++, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, GO, Perl, etc…)
• Advanced knowledge of Linux, Windows and Mac environments
• Experience in working with large software systems developed on Unix/Linux
• Good communication and presentation skills (English or Japanese)
• Bi-lingual (business English & Japanese daily conversation or English
