The required Japanese skill level varies by team and division. There are certain teams that communicate primarily in English, and the company provides free lessons for those who wish to improve their Japanese skills.

Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), national holidays, paid leave, New Year’s holiday, congratulatory and condolence leave, "Refreshment" leave (every 5 years, employees who have been employed under a continuous contract are entitled to 10 days of paid leave)

Paid leave: The following paid vacation days will be given on the day of joining LINE.

• January - March: 13 paid vacation days
• April - June: 10 paid vacation days
• July - September: 7 paid vacation days
• October - December: 4 paid vacation days

From the second year onwards, 1/1 will be paid for 14 days.

It depends on the position, but the typical process is as follows:

1. CV Screening
   
2. Coding Test
   
3. Technical Interview (2-3 rounds)
   
4. Board Interview
   
5. Job offer
   
   It normally takes between 1.5 to 2 months from coding test to job offer.

• LINE has flex time, so members are free to choose their own schedule. They also encourage employees to use all of their vacation days, so it’s not uncommon for members to take vacations for several weeks at a time.
