About the position
We are looking for an iOS Engineer to help drive the growth of whoo, our location-sharing app that has achieved over 30 million organic downloads. The mission for this position is to contribute to the growth of the service and business by collaborating with related departments as a whoo iOS Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Feature development for the iOS application (planning, design, implementation, testing, measurement, and improvement)
- Performance improvement of UX-related elements such as screen transitions and animations
- Long-term system design and resolution of technical debt
- Project management
- Building consensus and a shared understanding with team members
Requirements
- 2+ years of practical experience as an iOS engineer
- Team development experience using Git and GitHub
- Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum
- Smooth communication skills for collaborating with related departments
- Japanese proficiency for in-depth technical discussions
Nice to haves
While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
- Experience using whoo in your daily life
- Knowledge of various frameworks, architectures, and programming paradigms
- Experience developing and operating consumer-facing apps for both iOS and Android
- Professional experience with testing and CI/CD
- Knowledge or practical experience in project management
- Experience working in a startup environment
