MicoVoice is Mico’ AI Voice platform reshaping how businesses communicate with customers by automating and personalizing phone-based conversations. We’re building a platform where businesses can easily design, manage, and deploy voice interactions without needing to be voice UX experts or engineers. The design team is focused on creating intuitive interfaces, seamless workflows, and a truly human-centered experience. Our mission is to empower users to set up smart, effective voice call flows with confidence and ease - no technical background required. We’re looking for a mid-level UI/UX Designer to help us make this vision a reality, as we build Mico Voice AI into Japan’s most innovative voice automation platform and a global leader in AI-powered communication.

 

Role Summary 

As a Mid level UI/UX Designer reporting to our Senior leader, You will: Own the design of key features within the Mico Voice AI product, from discovery and ideation through to delivery and iteration. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive, sophisticated user experiences that deliver real value to users. In this role, you’ll help contribute to user research, and advocate for design best practices as we continue to grow and scale Mico Voice AI. 

 

Key Responsibilities

User-Centered Design Design Creation

Conduct user research to identify workflows, pain points, and user needs, ensuring insights directly inform design decisions. Own the full design process end-to-end, from research and ideation to delivering polished, high-fidelity prototypes. Translate business and user requirements into intuitive user journeys and scalable design solutions. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UIs using Figma and complementary tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, aligning with business goals and user expectations.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, to ensure design solutions align with product goals, technical constraints, and delivery timelines. Work closely with engineering teams to support smooth implementation and ensure design quality throughout development. Work closely with CS teams to address user feedback and identify areas for product improvement. Participate actively in discussions around scope, priorities, and timelines to align on MVPs and Post-MVPs.

 

Design Excellence and Advocacy

Maintain consistency and quality in design work by adhering to the design system and following industry best practices. Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to raising UX standards across the company. Partner with product to help shape product requirements and user workflows when needed. Occasionally contribute to marketing design efforts (~10%)

 

Stakeholder Communication

Present and communicate design solutions clearly to internal stakeholders. Incorporate feedback constructively, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.

 

Requirement

  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in UI/UX design, preferably in B2B or SaaS product environments
  • A portfolio demonstrating problem-solving, end-to-end thinking, and polished UI craft
  • Able to both think critically and execute designs visually,solid understanding of UX design principles, information architecture, and interaction design. 
  • Experience with user research methods and applying findings to product iterations
  • Able to turn complex product requirements into intuitive, scalable design solutions
  • Excellent visual design skills with a sharp eye for typography, color harmony, spacing, and layout composition
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Comfortable presenting design concepts and defending design rationale
