AI Solution Engineer (AI Forward Office - CS Project)

At Money Forward, we are focused on leveraging data to deliver greater value back to our users and solve their challenges. With the goals of "accelerating business growth through data utilization" and "establishing the No.1 data organization in the SaaS and Fintech industry," we have formed a new AI Forward Office in 2024 to strengthen our promotion system using AI technology. The AI Forward Office places importance on improving internal operations and developing tools as initiatives to support business growth. As these initiatives gain traction and expand in scale, we are seeking new team members to join us in this challenge.

Main Responsibilities

You will be involved in proposing, verifying, and developing AI-based solutions and project management to improve the efficiency of Money Forward's internal operations.

A specific challenge includes improving the operational efficiency of the Customer Support (CS) department.

At Money Forward Business Company (MFBC), the number of inquiries to Customer Support (CS) has been increasing annually due to rapid business growth. If this trend continues, it is anticipated that a significant increase in CS staff will be necessary in the future, making the balance between business growth and cost control a critical management issue.

To address this challenge, we have launched the company-wide "MFBC_CSAI Project," aiming for a fundamental efficiency improvement and productivity enhancement of CS operations using cutting-edge technologies, including generative AI. This project plans multiple initiatives, such as improving user self-resolution rates on support sites, AI-assisted inquiry handling, and building a knowledge search database, with the expectation of significant cost reduction in the future.

You will be responsible for setting challenges in collaboration with internal users and handling everything from considering AI-based solutions to implementation and operation.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Practical application of AI/machine learning (from problem definition to AI solution selection, model consideration and development, and application to services)
• Experience in AI development or development using AI tools
• Skills in prompt engineering, generative AI chatbots, RAG, AI agents, MCP, etc.
• Experience and understanding of software development
• Experience in leading and managing small-scale projects
• Experience using cloud services like AWS/GCP/Azure

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics, experience in data analysis and visualization using Python, etc.
• Experience in web service development utilizing AI services
• Experience in analysis and proposal based on understanding business and operations
• Deep understanding and experience in back-office operations such as accounting, finance, and HR
• Experience in MLOps practice

Japanese Language Requirements

Japanese: Business level (fluent, able to communicate with clients in Japanese)

English Language Requirements

TOEIC score of 700 or above, plus the ability to handle meetings and text communication in English soon after joining.
