Software Engineer (Java)

Responsibility

• Develop and design service
• Design database schema
• Write clean and maintainable code (Of course, including test code)
• Operate the applications written in Japanese for testing
• Discuss and debate with other team members to find optimal solutions
• Response to maintenance and operation for the stability of the services
• Investigate and respond to user inquiries

Qualifications

Technical skill

• 3+ years of experience as a Java software engineer
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, server-side Java, and basic SQL
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, scalable, testable, and reliable Java cod
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with build tools such as Gradle

Soft skill

• Good verbal and written communication in English is required
• Sense of Teamwork, Responsibility, and Communication skills
• Collaborate on requirement analysis and specifications

• English: Business-Level, both verbal and written.
• Japanese: Business-Level, both verbal and written.

Preferred skills and experience

Technical skill

• Strong knowledge of security and performance
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Experience with popular web application frameworks
• Basic understanding of the class loading mechanism in Java
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI and Jenkins
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog
• Experience as Kotlin software engineer

Soft skill

• Willingness to learn and build a deep understanding
• Share knowledge and experience with your colleagues

Salary Range

• Min 7,000,000 - Max 13,000,000 Japanese Yen / Year (Gross)

• Location: Tokyo, Japan
• Remote work is available four days per week.
