We’re looking for someone to help lead the future of analytics at PayPay. This person will enable PayPay to get 1% better every day by developing data products and insights, partnering closely with business and product stakeholders to prioritize and execute on work, improve reporting, as well as drive results and process improvements. As a data analyst in the Product Division, you will utilize the vast amount of data generated from over 63 million users and 2.35 million stores to make the PayPay ecosystem more convenient and profitable. By increasing the number of users and usage frequency, you will have many opportunities to contribute to PayPay's growth and profitability.

The scope of the role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Working closely with product managers to understand reporting requirements, support data-driven decision making, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
  • Proactively analyzing data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, verifying independent ideas and examples from other companies that we are interested in, and making suggestions for product and function development/improvement
  • Designing/proposing product KPIs, creating dashboards, and monitoring relevant data
  • Creating/maintaining rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Contributing to data-driven processes and initiatives (knowledge sharing, rule creation, introduction of new tools, stakeholder support and education, etc.), developing clear documentation and education materials, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Interacting cross-functionally with product, business planning, marketing, and sales analysts to share analytical knowledge and collaborate.
  • Designing/building data warehouses and data marts for the products we are responsible for, and making it easy for anyone to utilize product data.
  • Evangelizing a data-driven culture throughout the organization, improving experimental/test design, contributing to best practices, partnering with both stakeholders and data partners.

[Work environment] - BigQuery, LookerStudio, JupyterLab, GoogleAnalytics, dbt, GitHub

PayPay, a fintech company that achieved more than 47M users within around 3 years since its launch in 2018 has hugely diversified employees who are from 40 different countries.

Our biggest competitor is "cash". We are seeking for people who can accept this challenge positively, brush up the product at a tremendous speed that other companies could never achieve, and who are passionate about promoting and spreading such a financial life platform in a short time along with professionalism.

PayPay’s policies during COVID-19 are as follows:

  • PayPay has been transitioning to remote work to ensure employees safety during the pandemic, and we’ll continue this even after it subsides.

  • While we’re open to considering engineers looking to relocate to Japan, travel restrictions have made it difficult to give a clear timeframe for relocation.

  • Until COVID-19 is settled and we're ready to issue visas, you can start working remotely from abroad.
