Description
About the role
We are looking for a PLM Specialist to join our Engineering & Research Division.
PowerX is developing battery energy storage systems and related energy infrastructure products. As our product lines and new projects continue to expand, we need to strengthen our capability to manage product development from the early concept phase through prototyping, mass production, design changes, and product data management.
This role is not limited to operating PLM tools. It is a cross-functional project management role that connects engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and customer support to ensure that product development projects move forward in a structured and scalable way.
You will help define and manage development processes, quality gates, product data, and cross-functional issue resolution to bring products from concept to production.
Job Scope
- Manage product lifecycle management processes and development workflows within the Engineering & Research Division
- Operate and improve quality gate / development gate processes from concept phase to prototyping and mass production transfer
- Gather and organize information required for each development phase, including market feasibility, business viability, cost, manufacturability, technical requirements, risks, and validation results
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and related teams to identify, track, and resolve development issues
- Manage project progress, risks, action items, and cross-functional dependencies to ensure products are ready for mass production
- Support design change management after mass production, including schedule management, stakeholder alignment, and supplier coordination
- Organize and manage product development data, including PRD, DFMEA, BOM, design change information, validation plans, validation results, quality documents, and revision information
- Visualize key information required for decision-making by engineering leaders and executives
- Improve development processes to increase transparency, repeatability, and execution speed across product development projects
Requirements
- Experience in project management, development management, or product development within R&D, engineering, or mass production launch environments
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical issues across multiple domains such as mechanical, electrical, software, control, quality, manufacturing, or procurement
- Understanding of product development processes, quality gates, development phase management, and design reviews
- Understanding of development-related documents such as PRD, DFMEA, BOM, design change records, validation plans, validation results, and quality documents
- Experience identifying project risks early and driving countermeasures by involving relevant stakeholders
- Ability to structure ambiguous issues, align stakeholders, and move projects forward
- Business-level English communication skills
Preferred Experiences
- PMP certification or equivalent project management knowledge
- Experience in automotive, battery, electrical equipment, industrial machinery, power electronics, or other hardware product development environments
- Experience with mass production launch, production transfer, or manufacturing readiness activities
- Experience with PLM, PDM, BOM management, engineering change management, or revision control
- Experience working with suppliers, manufacturing teams, procurement teams, or quality teams
- Experience with cost analysis, value engineering, should-cost analysis, or manufacturability review
- Experience working in a global engineering environment
