In just four years since our founding, we've successfully implemented our solutions for a variety of large enterprises, primarily for companies publicly listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market.

 

Role & Mission

As a Principal Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for frontend and backend development for our flagship product, the Quollio Data Intelligence Cloud. A key part of your mission will also be to maintain the quality and continuously improve localization for Japanese enterprise customers.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the team and independently develop and improve features that cover the entire technical stack used in Quollio, aligning with requirements and development plans.
• As a Principal Backend Engineer, strive to maintain and improve the overall quality of the team's work.
• Contribute to the overall business and customer satisfaction of the company under the guidance of senior management.
• Maintain close communication and reporting with stakeholders (Product Managers, Sales, Support, etc.) to align with product strategy and business conditions.
• Actively participate in mutual discussions among team members and lead improvements in design and processes.
• Deliver a high-quality, intuitive, and user-friendly experience that meets the expectations of our Japanese customers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend development experience (practical experience with Golang and Python is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience as a team leader in a development organization.
• 2+ years of business English communication experience (conversation and documentation).
• Business Japanese or higher.

 

Preferred Experiences

• Experience developing software products for enterprise customers.
• Experience developing technologies such as Japanese Natural Language Processing or AI.
• Practical experience in data management, data engineering, or data analysis.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

• プリンシパル・バックエンドエンジニアとしてチーム全体の品質の維持・改善を心がける 
• 上位マネージメントの指示のもと、会社全体のビジネスやお客様満足度の向上に貢献する
• ステークホルダー（プロダクトマネージャー、営業、サポートなど）との報告・コミュニケーションを通して、製品戦略やビジネス状況と密に連携を行う
• メンバー間の相互的なディスカッションに積極的に参加し、設計やプロセスの改善をリードする 

• 日本のお客様の期待する、高品質かつ直感的でわかりやすいユーザー体験を実現する

• バックエンド開発：10年以上 (Golang・Pythonを実務で使用したご経験のある方は尚可) 
• 開発組織のチームリーダーとしての経験: 5年以上
• ビジネスでの英語でコミュニケーションの経験（会話・ドキュメント）：2年以上

• エンタープライズのお客様向けのソフトウェア製品開発経験
• 日本語自然言語処理やAIなどの技術の開発経験 
• データ管理、データエンジニアリング、データ分析に関する実務経験
• コンピューターサイエンス学部ご出身の方
