Role & Mission

• Contribute to backend development of our flagship product, Quollio Data Intelligence Cloud.
• Maintain and continuously improve product localization quality for Japanese enterprise customers.

 

Responsibilities

• Work across Quollio’s technology stack to develop and improve features according to requirements.
• As the sole native Japanese speaker on the development team, drive intuitive, highly readable, and user-friendly experiences.
• Follow instructions from the Tech Lead and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Produce clear technical documentation for other stakeholders (engineers, PMs, etc.).
• Actively contribute to discussions within the team and propose ideas to improve architecture, design, and development processes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• (Experience with Golang, C++, Python, or Java is highly preferred)
• 2+ years of business-level English communication experience (speaking & documentation)
• Native-level Japanese proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
• Experience in API design and development

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing Japanese-language search using Elasticsearch or similar full-text search engines
• Practical experience in data management, data engineering, or data analytics
• (e.g., data platforms like BigQuery or Snowflake, ETL pipeline development)
• Experience working in B2B SaaS businesses
• Experience working in a startup environment

• Core hours: 11:00–15:00
• Flexible time: 5:00 AM – 11:00 AM / 3:00 PM –10:00 PM
