We are looking for a Business Analyst who can communicate closely with internal stakeholders and talented engineers to proactively propose business strategies and lead projects.

 

Position & Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding business needs, proposing system requirements, and executing plans. This role will focus on improving business processes, optimizing requirements management, and working with technical teams to increase operational efficiency and maximize business value. This position will also serve as a project manager and will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. Ensures that projects are completed on time and within budget and meet the scope of project requirements and quality standards.

 

Specifically Responsible For:

1. Information Gathering and Analysis

• Lead stakeholder meetings and analyze business needs
• Prepare requested documents and specifications
• Obtain baseline requests and approvals from stakeholders

 

2. Propose and build solutions

• Present proposed business process improvements
• Plan and implement the solution
• Work with technical team to implement development plan
• Understand the scope of project requirements and provide and manage costs

 

3. Project Management

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects
• Monitoring the scope of project requirements and quality standards

 

4. Client Support

• Assist clients with system specifications
• Prepare and maintain internal documentation

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a business analyst
• Experience in defining business requirements and project management
• Knowledge and understanding of IT systems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Project process and understanding of Agile and Waterfall
• Business level of English and Japanese
• Remote work is possible, but access to Tokyo for client MTG is required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of statistics, probability, machine learning and AI
• Industry experience in finance or technology
• Experience with data analysis and BI tools
• Qualifications: PMP / CBAP
• Bachelor's degree in computer science field, information systems, business administration or related field

 

Working Conditions

Location

• Tokyo, Japan, close to metro station Otemachi with a hybrid of remote working

 

Working Hours

• 9:00-18:00 but can be flexible upon agreement with your manager
• Overtime: Approximately 20 hours per month (may increase during peak season)
