Job Description

COCONE's common billing system was completed in 2016.
In developing a new app, we have achieved a reduction in overall development man-hours by linking with a common billing system instead of creating the billing, granting, and consumption parts of the in-app currency for each app.

Specifically, you will

develop and maintain the billing system (NBP,AWS,GCP)
implement new billing functions
work with finance and accounting
experience in designing and developing server applications
experience in developing applications using RDBMS
experience in developing web applications

How to work

You will be able to discuss issues with other teams when they arise.
There is discretionary authority. Of course, it is important to consult with the team leader on important matters and work as a team.
This is a hub organization that allows you to work in collaboration with server engineers, front engineers, finance and accounting, and legal affairs in a wide range of business units.
You can learn not only development techniques, but also a wide range of business knowledge

Compensation	Annual:4-7 million * Will be determined according to skills and experience. *45 hours/month of estimated overtime pay included
Minimum Requirements	2+ years of server-side development experience in Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.
Preferred requirements	- Knowledge of CI tools, experience in operation - Experience in developing and operating systems in line with the requirements of the Funds Settlement Act - Experience in participating in systems with a knowledge of bookkeeping certification level 3 or higher or in-game currency

【業務内容】
ココネの共通ビリングシステムが2016年に完成しました。
新たなアプリを開発する中で、アプリ内通貨の課金・付与・消費の部分をアプリごとに作るのではなく
共通のビリングシステムと連携することで全体の開発工数の削減を実現しています。

具体的な業務としては
・ビリングシステムの開発/保守運用（NBP,AWS,GCP）
・新しい課金機能の追加実装
・財務経理との業務連携
・サーバーアプリケーションの設計開発経験
・RDBMSを利用したアプリケーション開発経験
・WEBアプリケーションの開発経験

【仕事の進め方】
・課題が発生した際には、他チームと相談して進める事が出来ます。
・裁量権があります。勿論大切なことはチーム長に相談をし、チームで進める事も大事にしています。
・事業部のサーバーエンジニアやフロントエンジニアや財務経理や法務と幅広く連携をとりながら仕事ができるHub組織です。

Cocone’s revenue has continued to grow despite COVID-19. In fact they’re working on several new projects at the moment, so they plan to continue to actively hire engineers and other positions. They’ve also introduced the ability to work remotely during COVID-19, allowing 8 remote days per month (at the time of writing).

Japanese Language Policy
Since Cocone works in Japanese, fluent Japanese (JLPT N1) is preferred, but they’re open to hiring those with business level (JLPT N2) Japanese skills if they’re a great fit for the role otherwise.

Engineer Interview Process
(1) Document screening

It is not necessary to bring paper documents (electronic is fine)

(3) Second interview: Business managers or executives

There’s typically around 1 week between each step, but timing of the steps and requests for submissions may vary depending on the selection process.

It normally takes 1-2 months from interview to hire.
Remote Work
Currently, Cocone allows employees to work remotely up to 8 times per month.
Work style
- Normally, Cocone uses a “flex time” system with core hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00PM. But with the COVID-19 situation they’re using a full-flex system with no core time.
- Cocone has a system that allows employees with children to spend 1 hour a day on childcare and reduce their work hours to 7 per day instead of 8. There’s no decrease in compensation for anyone utilizing this system.
Diversity
Cocone has a diverse group of employees, so it’s a relatively easy environment to get used to even for non-Japanese new members. They provide Japanese classes as well as regular events to help members interact with their co-workers and build relationships.
Parents and Family
Many of Cocone’s members have children, so they’ve introduced a childcare free time system. They’re also understanding of the need to take time off to handle issues related to childcare (sudden sickness etc).
