Job Overview
- Lead a team of several engineers as a Tech Lead, holding final responsibility for design, reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Work closely with PdMs and designers to define business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Continuously manage the balance between controlling technical debt and developing new features.
- Lead operational work and process improvements to keep the service running stably.
Required Skills
- Experience improving a team’s development productivity by incorporating AI Coding Agents into the development workflow and designing rules, tools, and automation.
- 3+ years of web application development experience.
- Experience autonomously carrying out the full range of development work, including implementation, design, and operations.
- Experience driving project-scale feature development with ownership.
- Experience collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders, organizing discussions, and leading them to decisions.
- Communication skills for product development.
- Must meet one of the following:
- Japanese: Business level or higher (e.g., JLPT N1 or CEFR B2 and above)
- Japanese: Conversational level or higher (e.g., JLPT N3 or CEFR A2 and above) and English: Business level or higher (e.g., CEFR B2 and above)
Preferred Skills
- Full-stack development experience, including both frontend and backend.
- Experience using TypeScript, React, and React Native.
- Experience in schema design and writing efficient queries for RDBs.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud, AWS, etc.
- Experience making technical decisions in a role such as Tech Lead.
- Experience leading architecture design and the overall technical design of a system.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior members.
- Project management experience (schedule estimation and progress management).
- Experience leading everything from discovering product issues to defining specifications.
- Experience contributing to the team’s technical quality through code and design reviews.
