We’re Hiring: Tech Lead

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Language Requirement: Fluent/Native

We’re looking for a Tech Lead with a full stack engineering background. This will help shape the future of our platform, our engineering team/culture, and our company.

We welcome developers with experience in any language—Java, Go, Python, PHP, etc. As long as you’re excited to work in our stack (Next.js/TypeScript and Rails/Vue.js) and willing to learn, you’re a fit.

We’re hiring for multiple positions!

What You’ll Work On

• KATIX is currently focused on helping people sell bikes and cars, but we’re actively working to expand into new verticals.
• The bike platform is built with Ruby on Rails, Vue.js, and Node.js
• The car platform uses Next.js and TypeScript
• Both systems are containerized with Docker and deployed to AWS. As a full stack engineer, you’ll join one of these teams and help us scale.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a scrum team in development
• Build web frontends using Vue.js or Next.js
• Build backend APIs using Ruby on Rails or Node.js
• Support DevOps (CI/CD with GitHub Actions, ECS, ECR, Load Balancers, Monitoring, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

Minimum:

• 5+ years of full stack web development experience (any language)
• Able to communicate in Native/Fluent level Japanese
• Experience working in a team based environment for more than 3 years (3+ engineering members)

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Rails, React, TypeScript, Next.js, AWS, or Vue.js,
