We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven business leader to fill the Commercial Manager position to drive revenue growth and alliance development, customer acquisition, and strategic partnerships for our small to medium business-focused financial management SaaS. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing commercial relationships with distribution partners including resellers, affiliates, and other ecosystem partners to enhance the value proposition for our users and drive revenue growth.
Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and experience in digital customer acquisition and alliance development, within the SaaS or fintech space.

In this role, you will
- Own the full P&L for the Moneytree Business product, ensuring financial performance aligns with company targets, and driving strategic decisions to optimize profitability and growth.
- Lead digital acquisition in collaboration with marketing, including paid media, performance marketing, SEO, and conversion optimization.
- Build and manage a team of resellers, affiliates, and ecosystem partners to extend market reach.
- Define, price and implement monetization models (e.g. revenue share, affiliate, embedded 3rd party services).
- Provide business insights to the product team to inform the product roadmap, closely aligning with customer needs and opportunities to grow revenue.
- Identify and engage with distribution partners including resellers, affiliates, and other and ecosystem partners to integrate relevant services into our platform.
- Develop strategic partnerships or channel opportunities to expand reach and create new revenue streams.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and partnership deals to maximize value for both the company and its users.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure smooth integration and adoption of partner services.
- Identify monetization opportunities through partnerships, such as revenue-sharing models, affiliate programs, or embedded financial services.
- Develop and track key commercial KPIs to measure the success and impact of partnerships on user engagement and revenue.
- Own revenue forecasting and commercial KPIs. Provide regular reporting to leadership on pipeline health, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and business meetings to promote our brand and build relationships.
In the first 90 days, your expected deliverables will include
- Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, covering digital and partner-led channels, with a clear roadmap for revenue growth. This will be continually updated as new information and learnings.
- Identify and commence partnership negotiations with at least five high-potential distribution partners.
- Close at least one to two strategic partnerships that provide value to our SME users. For example, vendors and service providers offering cross-product synergies.
- Establish a commercial framework and negotiation playbook for partnership agreements.
- Define and implement key performance metrics to measure the success of partnerships.
- Present a competitive analysis of relevant financial and business management tools, identifying opportunities for differentiation through partnerships.
- Launch one or more co-marketing or affiliate campaigns with early partners.
Qualifications
- You must have a track record of success in digital marketing, user acquisition campaigns, and business/marketing development within SaaS, fintech, or payments environments.
- Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with a track record of closing strategic partnerships.
- Understanding of SME financial management challenges and the ability to align partnerships to address these needs.
- Experience working with financial service providers, payment processors, accounting tools, or other relevant B2B service providers is a plus.
- Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform commercial decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Self-starter mindset, entrepreneurial attitude, and a results-driven approach.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
