Role Description
The LINK Ecosystem connects our data platform to over 2,600 data sources across Japan. Engineers on the LINK Connectors team develop API-based ETL software powering the data aggregation system at the core of the company's fintech platform. We integrate directly with the APIs published by financial institutions as part of Japan's open banking ecosystem, manage the OAuth2 authorizations behind those connections, and deliver clean, consistent financial data through our import pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining API-based ETL pipelines for resilient data aggregation systems
- Adding new financial institutions through their APIs, including OAuth2 authorization and token lifecycle management
- Creating tools to accelerate resolution of data aggregation issues
- Mapping institution API responses to our internal data models
- Collaborating with peers on technical solutions
- Handling customer support requests and implementing system improvements
Required Experience
- Proficiency writing maintainable TypeScript or JavaScript code
- Commitment to technical excellence with openness to peer feedback
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
- Strong English communication skills
- Strong interest in financial products and services
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years experience coding in Ruby, in a hobbyist or professional capacity
- Professional or hobbyist experience building serverless applications on AWS or similar services
- Experience integrating with third-party REST APIs and OAuth2 flows
- Business Japanese proficiency
