Senior Frontend Engineer - Realtime and Personalization

Your Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to drive the user interface development of our newest strategic initiative: a cutting-edge AI Agent for marketers. You will be the frontend expert within a cross-functional squad, responsible for making complex AI models accessible, responsive, and intuitive.

You will design the architecture for state management and handle complex data interactions, ensuring our AI interactions feel seamless. This role is based in our Tokyo office with a hybrid model (3 days per week in-office).

What You Will Do

• React Architecture: Translate sophisticated designs into robust React applications, specifically optimized for AI-driven interactions.
• API Collaboration: Partner with backend engineers to define API contracts (REST/GraphQL) that support efficient data fetching and rendering.
• System Design: Bring an experienced frontend perspective to architectural discussions, balancing speed with scalability and performance.
• Innovation: Advise the team on emerging frontend tools and patterns to increase developer velocity and user satisfaction.

About You

• Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on complex Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, Virtual DOM, React hooks, and performance tuning.
• State Management: Proficient with Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query (React Query), or Context API.
• Network Layer: Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, and GraphQL for effective cross-layer debugging.
• Soft Skills: Business-level English proficiency and a "driver" mentality in agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Generative AI UX: Experience building chat interfaces or handling streaming tokens and markdown rendering for LLMs.
• Global Collaboration: Experience working in distributed teams across different time zones.
