As Senior Engineer you make technical choices and have strong software engineer skills. You are able to manage the technical work of almost all engineering aspects. More Junior Engineers rely on your experience and guidance.

Requirements

5 years of experience in Web Application Development (Backend) in a modern object-oriented or functional programming language (eg. Java, Scala, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript)
3 years of experience with modern Javascript development (eg. NodeJS, Angular, React, TypeScript, etc.)
Experience with AWS
Experience with relational and nonrelational databases
Experience with developing in a team of 5 Backend Engineers or more
Experience with make technological choices (Stack, Programming language, Architecture)
Native in either English or Japanese and ability to work in the other language

5年以上のモダンなオブジェクト指向、関数型プログラミング言語を用いたwebアプリケーション開発の経験　(eg. Java, Scala, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript）
3年以上のモダンなJavaScript言語での開発経験 (eg. NodeJS, Angular, React, TypeScript)
AWSを用いたサービスの開発、実装経験

It would be good if you have:

Experience in presenting/talking about your work at tech conferences
Experience with the Serverless Application Framework
Experience with application/infrastructure monitoring (eg. DataDog, CloudWatch, Sentry)
Experience in building data pipelines on AWS (e.g Kinesis/Firehose, Glue, Athena)
Interest in working at a startup or small company (1-300 employees)

Zehitomo doesn't require Japanese for this position strictly, but there are some employees working there that can't speak English fluently, so the more Japanese you know the better.

Zehitomo requires business-level in either Japanese or English and willing to try speaking in the other.

Zehitomo attracts over 200,000 professionals from all over Japan in more than 500 categories, including yoga instructors, piano lessons, photographers, kitchen remodeling, and air conditioner cleaning etc.

They don’t charge any intermediary fees, and their model is to charge professionals when they send users a quote, which is very reasonable at around 500 yen per quote on average.
