To prevent pollution, human health hazards, and chemical accidents, companies need to accurately record and manage what and how much of what chemical substances are used in their products, and conduct risk assessments.

As part of this work, it is necessary to extract various data from documents called Safety Data Sheets (SDS), which are instruction manuals for chemical substances. Companies around the world spend a great deal of time and manpower on this task, and it is a tremendous hardship.

Our company, Chemican, is a startup that has developed AI-OCR software, "Chemican," which scans SDSs, automatically extracts data, and performs risk assessment.

We have already been introduced to many big companies, and we are planning to expand our business to overseas companies as well.

Job Description

We are looking for you to develop a web application for "Chemican", a SaaS service for manufacturers of chemical substances worldwide.

• Implementation of SaaS Chemican functionality for chemical safety management.
• Implementation of reading SDS information using machine learning and generative AI
• Development of legal check system for chemical substances
• Other new function development

• Go, Python, Vue.js, TypeScript, etc...
• GCP, AWS, Docker
• PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch
• GitHub, Slack, Zoom

Essential Skills

• Knowledge and eagerness for web application development
• Knowledge and eagerness for secure programming in web applications
• Experience in team development using version control systems such as Git
• More than 3 years of web application development experience

※ No knowledge of chemistry is required. Members without knowledge of chemistry are currently doing great.

Welcome Skills

• Development experience in any of Go, Python, vue.js, typescript, React.js
• Experience in service development using AI or machine learning
