Job Description

Our mission is to support the stable operational quality of many services that are being distributed, such as "Pokecoro" and "Neko no Nyackho", as well as to provide services with a high level of customer satisfaction, including new services, by using more efficient and effective QA methods.

The person who is able to study QA schedule and QA method based on the specification and lead the QA process with responsibility until release with QA staff.
We are also looking for a proactive individual who can create and review test cases (degree of granularity and omission of perspective) and suggest improvements based on QA results.

What You‘ll Do:

Formulation and execution of test plans
- Consideration of test scope, methodology and schedule for mobile online service development/operation, Estimation and execution
Creating and reviewing test cases
- Creating necessary test cases according to specifications and evaluating validity (comprehensiveness and omission of perspective) of test cases created by members
Creating quality reports and improvement proposals
- Creating quality reports using bug detection data and failure/inquiry data during testing
- Also, using the reports, etc., providing feedback to the product concerned parties in charge, Improvement proposals
Leadership
- Team building, education and management of members

Minimum Requirements	・At least 2 years of experience in QA for smartphone apps in the gaming and entertainment service industry ・Experience in writing test plans and item documents
Preferred requirements	・Experience using test management tools (BTS, etc.) ・Process improvement and KPI measurement ・Experience developing and verifying mobile services ・Experience as a test engineer ・Knowledge and interest in scripting languages, SQL, Git, etc. in development ・JSTQB and other certifications

◎業務内容
・テスト計画の策定と実行
　モバイルオンラインサービス開発/運用におけるテスト範囲･手法･スケジュールの検討・見積もりと実行

・テストケースの作成とレビュー
　仕様にあわせて必要なテストケースを作成、またメンバー等が作成したテストケースに対する妥当性（網羅性や観点漏れ）の評価

・品質レポート作成と改善提案
　テスト実施時のバグ検出データや、障害・問い合わせのデータを利用した品質レポート作成
　またそのレポート等を用いて、担当プロダクトの関係者へのフィードバック・改善提案

・リーダー業務
　チームビルディング、メンバーの教育・管理

想定給与	年俸：400万円～ ※45時間の見込み残業込み ※年俸を12分割した金額を毎月支給。 ※（正社員）住宅手当込み
必須スキル・経験	・ゲームやエンタメサービス業界におけるスマホアプリのQA業務の実務経験２年以上・テスト計画書、項目書の作成経験
歓迎スキル・経験	・テスト管理ツールの使用経験（BTS等）・プロセス改善やKPI測定・モバイルサービスの開発や検証経験・テストエンジニア経験・スクリプト言語・SQL・Git等、開発系の知識や興味のある方・JSTQB等の資格保有者

About Cocone

Cocone was founded in 2008 with a focus on Smartphone app development and educational services. Nowadays they focus mostly on building “avatar” mobile apps. Their most popular app (“Pokecoro”) has over 16 million downloads. In fact they just celebrated the 9-year anniversary of the app’s release.

With their mobile apps, Cocone wants to create a fun digital environment where people can interact and share experiences. They hope their apps will help their users have fun and feel even more fulfilled with their lives.

Cocone is hiring more members to work on building their in-house products, doing everything from ideation to design to engineering. They hope to further increase the speed of development and handle everything from ideation to design to marketing the products.

Japanese Language Policy
Since Cocone works in Japanese, fluent Japanese (JLPT N1) is preferred, but they’re open to hiring those with business level (JLPT N2) Japanese skills if they’re a great fit for the role otherwise.

Engineer Interview Process
(1) Document screening

There’s typically around 1 week between each step, but timing of the steps and requests for submissions may vary depending on the selection process.

It normally takes 1-2 months from interview to hire.
Remote Work
Currently, Cocone allows employees to work remotely up to 8 times per month.
Work style
- Normally, Cocone uses a “flex time” system with core hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00PM. But with the COVID-19 situation they’re using a full-flex system with no core time.
- Cocone has a system that allows employees with children to spend 1 hour a day on childcare and reduce their work hours to 7 per day instead of 8. There’s no decrease in compensation for anyone utilizing this system.
Diversity
Cocone has a diverse group of employees, so it’s a relatively easy environment to get used to even for non-Japanese new members. They provide Japanese classes as well as regular events to help members interact with their co-workers and build relationships.
Parents and Family
Many of Cocone’s members have children, so they’ve introduced a childcare free time system. They’re also understanding of the need to take time off to handle issues related to childcare (sudden sickness etc).
