Job Description

You will be involved in front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for our in-house services and client projects. Your role will focus on achieving pixel-perfect styling in CSS, keeping in mind design systems and design regulations. At Colorkrew, you will collaborate with diverse team members, including product owners and engineers, and maintain effective communication throughout the project. In client projects, you will engage in communication with customers.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with designers to develop front-end prototypes for our in-house services.
Collaboration with engineers and designers.
Consideration of microinteraction with a focus on accessibility.
Coding tasks for the website of our in-house services.
Outsourcing coding tasks to external collaborators, including direction.
Development and operation of design systems.
Should have a strong skill of writing CSS from scratch.

Requirements

Over 5 years of practical experience in HTML and CSS.
Over 3 years of practical experience in designing, implementing, and operating front-end architecture using JavaScript (React).
Over 3 years of practical experience in designing and operating UI/UX using prototyping tools (Figma, AdobeXD, etc.).
Experience working collaboratively with external production teams.
Business-level English proficiency for communication with in-house engineers.

Nice to have

In addition to the above, candidates with one or more of the following skills or experiences are welcome:

Front-end development for medium to large-scale websites.
Implementation of sites rich in WebGL, animation, and interactive elements.
Setting up development environments using npm, Vite, Babel, etc.
Knowledge of high-maintainability, high-extensibility API, component, and CSS design.
Knowledge of server-side and database design.
Broad knowledge and interest in performance, security, and accessibility.

Working Conditions

Employment Status

Full-time
Probationary period: First 3 months after joining the company. (During this period your contract conditions will be the same as that of a permanent employee.)

Work Hours and Work Place

Scheduled working hours:9 AM – 6 PM (Core time:10 AM - 2 PM)
Hybrid work style of coming to the office and working remotely. Many of us come to the office about half a day a week. You can come to the office at your free time, avoiding crowded train times.
There are also people who live in remote areas outside the Tokyo suburbs, and they basically work remotely. They come to the office about once a month on business trips.
We have no plans to go back to office commuting altogether. We will continue to do hybrid work, mainly remote work.

Two days off per week (as well as national holidays, New Year's break, etc.)

Salary

12 months salary and bonuses paid in summer and winter.

They’re building several in-house products such as Colorkrew Biz, which is a business concierge service that solves administrative issues using QR and authentication technologies, and Goalous, a social network for companies that focus on managing company goals like OKRs.

Remote Work
Colorkrew implements day a mixture of remote and in-office work, with most members coming to the office 2 days per week.

In general, Colorkrew is very flexible about remote work, allowing anyone to work remotely.
